Jet Lag
I was really fighting it, chugging coffee and trying not to sleep so I can get back on track. But I decided to you know, just lay down and read a little to kill time in my nice, heated futon…
Maybe half an hour later I woke up, drool-faced and feeling stupid for thinking that I could actually fight these forces of nature–warm bed + sleepy head = defeat.
So, I just gave in and slept at 8pm, waking up at three in the beautiful morning. Good times. But since I wasn’t supposed to wake up for another four hours, I just lay there and thought a lot–maybe kindasorta praying too. A few things that floated around my mind, things I dreamed, things I prayed about…
- Japan. UCLA. To stay, or not to stay?
- being a bridesmaid in November. Yatta!!!
- Korean-American-isms. I could/should write a book.
- beautiful people. My friends, family, and supporters who probably have no idea how much they have blessed, enriched, and influenced my life. Maybe they’ll never know, because there’s just too much to be conveyed.
