Genie in Japan

Today Sucked.

I woke up this morning pumped up to go out on campus and meet students, make friends, share the Gospel with confidence and enthusiasm. And then as soon as I stepped foot on campus it got so hard. The weather sucks again. It’s raining. It’s cold. So are the students.

I got rejected so badly so many times today that I actually wanted to shake them and scream, “GET SOME PEOPLE SKILLS YOU, YOU—AAAAAAAAGH!!!” Worse than rejection is when they just ignore me. “I’M A HUMAN BEING TOO YOU KNOW, YOU MMMMMMMM!!!!!!! Hold me back…!!!” You just don’t do that to people!!! God…

It’s enough to send someone home. I went home early today. I couldn’t take it anymore. Then I got home and stepped on something sharp and now I’m a bloody mess with a limp.

“Take my side, God–I’m getting kicked around, stomped on every day.

Not a day goes by but somebody beats me up;

They make it their duty to beat me up.

When I get really afraid I come to you in trust

I’m proud to praise God; fearless now, I trust in God.

What can mere mortals do?”

-Psalm 56:1-4
