I tagged along on a mini-field trip to the bank with my special class yesterday.  It’s only a 10 minute walk from the school, so the five kids and three of us teachers took advantage of the beautiful weather, stepping out of the classroom for a pleasant stroll through town.

Once we arrived at the bank, we were advised to sit in the waiting area and mull through the various books and magazines at our leisure. Saori-chan grabbed a book and wanted to look through it together; Tomo-chan on the other hand, started throwing a fit and refused to sit down:

Saori: “Tomo-chan, what’s wrong?”

Tomo-chan frowns and shakes his head.

Saori: “Oh, do you want to sit next to Genie-sensei?”

Tomo-chan nods, shyly.

She then sweetly concedes her seat to him, upon which point he is all smiles and enthusiastically resumes the conversation we were having about Transformers earlier that day.

There is no other way to brighten up your day.
